St. John, New York, Connecticut, and BostonJune 14, 2011

I wouldn’t call myself a foodie, but I do love to eat!  When I’m traveling, I don’t always bring my camera with me so I take all the food pics on my cell phone.  Here are some of my favorite camera phone photos from my last trip.  I can’t wait for another chance to go back to New York and the rest of the East Coast.  Any one up for a food tour?

Are you drooling yet? I am! Shrimp from Petite Pump Room in St. John, Chicken and rice from Halal Chicken & Gyro Cart in New York City, and the most amazing pork buns from Momofuku Noodle Bar NY.

This sandwich above has got to be the best sandwich I’ve ever had.  No joke.  It’s a Chilean sandwich called chacareros made with grilled steak with green beans, avocado, mayo, and tomatos.  If you are in Boston, please go to La Mamma and eat a sandwich or two for me.  Next, some fresh homemade pasta from Al Dente.  Lastly, what’s a trip to the east coast without some Dunkin Donuts?!

If you love ramen as much as I do, Ippudo is a must.  We had Ippudo for lunch and went to Pommes Frites right after.  Not smart, but so worth it!  Must try the Sundried Tomato Mayo, it was my favorite.  A trip to New York is not complete until a slice (or two) of a thin crust pizza.  We went to Vezzo and had their famous Shroomtown pizza.  Marinara sauce, cheese, portobello, shitake, button mushrooms, and white truffle oil. AMAZING!

One of the highlight from my trip was the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met.  I wasn’t able to take any photos, but the exhibit just blew my mind.  While in Boston, we also checked out Chihuly at MFA.  Both must sees.

It was such a fun trip with my family and I hope to do it again real soon!
